The following students will attend Union College in the fall as members of the Class of 2018.

Miami University students who ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2013-2014 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2014 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits. The following local students have achieved this honor:

Local students at Bucknell University are conducting undergraduate research projects with faculty mentors this summer.

The New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic honor is awarded to Bates varsity letter winners who have reached sophomore academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.

The following students were named to the spring 2014 dean's list at SUNY Buffalo State. To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2013-14 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following local students have been named to the Dean's List for Spring 2014.

Bucknell University conferred 859 bachelor's and 26 master's degrees during Commencement ceremonies May 18. Degrees were awarded for studies in liberal arts and professional programs in engineering, education, management and music.

More than 900 accepted students have indicated their commitment to attend SUNY Potsdam by submitting deposits. The group of incoming first-year students hail from across New York State and beyond. The Class of 2018 will begin classes on Sept. 1.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the spring semester 2014. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours. Students on the list from this area are:

Members of the Colgate University Class of 2014 received their diplomas May 19. CNN's Gloria Borger '74 delivered the commencement keynote. A total of 750 students graduated during Colgate's 193rd commencement ceremony.

The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Some 2,904 students were awarded a variety of bachelor's degrees during the University of Vermont's 213th Commencement ceremonies on May 18. There were some 575 advanced degrees and certificates awarded by the UVM Graduate College and approximately 106 women and men took the oath of Hippocrates following the awarding of their M.D. degrees at ceremonies of the UVM College of Medicine.
